Aurora Technologies as it is known now, began when Kosh Naranek, a Falleen who had left his homeworld on pilgrimage many years before, secured ownership of the company as it was about to become bankrupt from lack of management. At this time the company was little known to the rest of the galaxy, and faced many severe problems. Naranek established a core foundation of always pursuing excellence with tenacity, and quickly established a solid workforce of talented people and brought the company back from its death bed. At this time he moved the company's operations to his homeworld of Falleen, marking his own return after many years.

Aurora Technologies' first production line was the Y-Wing, LY-300, L-500, and the Firespray. During this time, the company sold her ships through Centrepoint Space Station and the Trade Federation, with the exclusion of the L-500, which was sold through the company's own offices. Over time, through deals and sales, Aurora Technologies' new production line has become the extremely popular Bulk Freighter and Y-Wing, along with the Marauder Corvette and JM-5000.

The company flourished in its early days, establishing itself to be one of the oldest and premier producer of quality ships for a variety of functions. In the following years, Aurora Technologies underwent a series of changes, always seeking to be more self-sufficient and prosperous. The company decided to move to a more remote location in the Outer Rim for freedom of movement and action that the region provides, and sought to internalize some of the jobs that had once been delegated to third party companies.

While isolated, Aurora Technologies continued to exert a strong influence on the galaxy, and the production community in particular. Her first location on the Rim was Kessel, which may have been an odd choice at the time, due to the somewhat unsavory reputation the system had acquired in certain smuggling circles. However, the company saw the location as ideal. Kessel is not so remote that those in the Inner Worlds could not easily access the company and its services, and the wild spaces of the Outer Rim perfectly augment the tenacity that the company has pursued and continues to pursue with excellence and progress.

Kessel however, was to become only a temporary home for the company. After deciding that the political and criminal atmosphere was not the home the company wished to operate in, it was decided to move all operations to Ambria, in the Steness system. Aurora Technologies now currently governs the Steness systems with operations in Abrion and Ottega, and is seeing a large increase in growth and production. The company continues to adapt to the changing face of business, and her new location has proved advantageous. Aurora Technologies' future looks as bright as her past, and it will be seen that the company will continue to grow with the same tenacity that she has shown over time.
